Overview:

This short but adventurous safari takes you to Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, two of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. Expect breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and an unforgettable safari experience.

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

  • Morning:

    • Pick-up from Arusha at 7:30 AM and drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 2.5 hours).
    • Arrive at the park entrance and begin the game drive.

  • Afternoon:

    • Explore the park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and flamingos along the alkaline lake.
    • Picnic lunch inside the park.

  • Evening:

    • Exit the park and drive to Karatu or the Ngorongoro area.
    • Check-in at a lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

  • Early Morning:

    • Breakfast at the lodge, then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
    • Descend 600m into the crater for a half-day game drive.

  • Game Drive Highlights:

    • The crater is home to lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeests.
    • Visit Lake Magadi, a soda lake attracting flamingos and water birds.

  • Afternoon:

    • Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater.
    • Ascend from the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha (arriving by late afternoon).
