3 Days Ngorongoro, Serengeti

Overview:

This 3-day safari takes you to two of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations—Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder with an incredible concentration of wildlife, and the Serengeti National Park, home to the Great Migration and the Big Five. Expect breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and an authentic African safari experience.

Day 1: Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

    • Morning:

      • Pick-up from Arusha at 7:00 AM and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 3.5 hours).
      • Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

    • Game Drive Highlights:

      • Spot lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and flamingos.
      • Visit Lake Magadi, famous for its large population of flamingos and water birds.

    • Afternoon:

      • Picnic lunch inside the crater.
      • Ascend from the crater and drive to Serengeti National Park (approx. 3 hours).

    • Evening:

      • Arrive in Serengeti, enjoy an en-route game drive, then check-in at a lodge/tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

    • Early Morning:

      • Optional hot air balloon safari (if pre-booked).
      • Sunrise game drive to witness predators in action.

    • Game Drive Highlights:

      • Spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and more.
      • Visit Seronera Valley, a prime area for spotting big cats.
      • If visiting during the Great Migration, witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras moving across the plains.

    • Afternoon:

      • Picnic lunch in the bush.
      • Continue exploring different regions of Serengeti.

    • Evening:

      • Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti – Arusha

      • Early Morning:

        • Sunrise game drive for one last chance to spot wildlife.
        • Breakfast at the lodge/camp.

      • Mid-Morning:

        • Drive back to Arusha with a stop for lunch in Karatu or Mto wa Mbu.
        • Arrive in Arusha by late afternoon.
