Marangu route

Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” Marangu is the most popular and straightforward path to Mount Kilimanjaro’s summit. It features hut accommodations and gradual ascents through rainforest, moorlands, and alpine zones. Its shorter duration makes it ideal for first-time trekkers.

Machame Route

Dubbed the “Whiskey Route,” Machame is a more challenging but scenic path to the summit. It offers stunning views, varied landscapes, and high success rates due to better acclimatization. It’s perfect for adventurers seeking a more rewarding trek.

Lemosho Route

Lemosho is one of Kilimanjaro’s most scenic and less crowded routes. Starting from the west, it offers stunning views of the Shira Plateau and a variety of ecosystems. Its longer duration allows for better acclimatization, increasing the chances of summit success.

Rongai Route

The Rongai Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan border. It offers drier conditions and fewer crowds while providing a unique view of the mountain. The gradual ascent makes it an excellent option for trekkers seeking a quieter climb.
